“Glamorous and cool”, two words uttered by locals when describing Mott 32. Located in the Standard Chartered building which was formerly a storage unit to wealthy Chinese families, lies this upscale Cantonese gem. Taking endless stairs and escalators to reach the mysterious basement restaurant, you’re led to believe you're being taken to the unknown. Paying homage to New York’s Chinatown, the restaurant exudes glamour with its “East-meets-West” concept. Once you emerge in this beautiful dimly-lit setting, you'll understand why this is one of Hong Kong’s best restaurants (and their char siu is meant to be one of the best).
Top dishes: applewood smoked Peking duck, Shanghainese soup dumplings, Iberico pork bun, Ma Po Tofu lobster, black cod
Try their Forbidden Rose cocktail, it's our favorite on the menu
