A rare breed of stork may have given the hotel its name some 660 years ago (yes you read that right – the hotel dates back to 1357), but it’s for different unique reasons that Storchen Zürich still sees a steady stream of visitors flocking to her doors. Thanks to her historic nature, each of the 66 recently-refurbed rooms are a bit different, and it’s just as well, because we’re also all a bit different too. Jörg is a shining example of why “Swiss hospitality” enjoys such an esteemed reputation. When it comes to anything about his native Switzerland, hospitality or not, he is happy to share and connect. He is on the executive committee of the Swiss Hotel Association and was also the former president of the Zürich Hoteliers Association. In 2017, under his watch, and with a team of over 400 workers, the 660-year-old Storchen Zürich underwent a top to bottom transformation that took incredibly just six weeks to complete.
