We have become devotees of studio Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, entrusted with transplanting the essence of Roman Holiday to the land of the Rising Sun. Beliisima and bravura are subtly deepened with time-honoured Shibui, personified in the ethereal indoor-outdoor Bvlgari Bar, where fragrant lemon and yuzu trees bookend a tessellated, multihued mural depicting a botanical arcadia. Bulgari Hotel Tokyo’s interior design has been entrusted to the Italian architectural firm ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel who conveyed Bulgari’s core values of contemporary design, magnificent craftsmanship and artistic detail to create efficient living spaces. The 98 exquisitely furnished rooms and suites use Italian luxury furniture brands including Maxalto, Flexform and B&B Italia.

Superior Rooms each blend the spirit of Bulgari with local culture for an atmosphere that is refined but residential. Vintage Bulgari ads and silver Bulgari candleholders layer with traditional Japanese design elements.
The Deluxe Rooms feature unparalleled views of the city skyline, offering a panoramic vista through a full-length glass façade. Like other rooms, Japanese elements are created by Hosoo, an ancient kimono textiles producer in Kyoto, and Ritzwell, a historic maker of wood furniture in Fukuoka.
Premium Rooms measure 56 metres each and bring to life the stylistic code of the East meets West dialogue that exists throughout the Hotel. Italian furniture brands and fabric coverings create a refined feel, offering total privacy in a rich, soundproofed atmosphere.
Junior Suites compose two separate areas, including a living room and bedroom. Warm and intimate, décor evokes a dialogue between East and West, telling the Bulgari style story with silver Bulgari candleholders layered with traditional Japanese design elements.
Measuring from 93 to 98 square metres, the Superior Suites comprise of a living room and bedroom, featuring décor from Italian brands such as Maxalto and B&B and Japanese wood furniture maker Ritzwell.
The Deluxe Corner Suites measure a sprawling 105 square metres and comprise two separate areas: living room and bedroom. A hand-brushed matte gold ceiling crowns the space, an exceptional example of Japanese craftsmanship.
Premium Suites measure 117 square metres each, creating a spacious but intimate atmosphere for relaxation and comfort. With design touches inspired by the Bulgari archive and the finest craftsmen in Japan, the beautifully appointed space features two living areas including a bedroom and bath, for an atmosphere of luxe refinement.
Measuring over 400 square meters, the Bulgari Suite offers peerless luxury and state-of-the-art technology. A modern Italian aesthetic is layered with touches of Japanese tradition, and the sprawling space features some of the best views in the city. It is also one of the largest suites in Tokyo and can be further extended by connecting with an adjoining suite.

Tokyo-born, Yuji Tanaka launched his hotel career at The Watergate Hotel after graduating from Oregon State University in 1987. With a rich background spanning luxury hotels primarily in the U.S. and Japan, he held key roles, including General Manager at prestigious locations such as The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, Bulgari Resort Bali and Ritz-Carlton Tokyo before assuming his current position in April 2022.
