The Restaurant
The Restaurant
Amankila’s ocean-view Restaurant focuses on locally sourced ingredients. Traditional local techniques are combined with contemporary cooking styles for revitalising cuisine. Ducks are raised at the resort’s free-range farm in Jasri village; herbs are grown in Amankila’s garden; and cold smoking is done in the smokehouse. Vegetables and exotic fruits are the result of the rich volcanic soil spread beneath Mt Agung.
Private Dining
Private Dining
A personal chef and waiter will tend to your every need, as you enjoy the sole use of the Beach Club, pool area or beach, where a bonfire can be lit to brighten the night sky.
Spa
Spa
Drawing on the energy of east Bali, the Spa’s therapies aim for complete relaxation and presence in the moment. Natural ingredients are used in traditional Balinese baths, scrubs and wraps – available in the privacy of guest Suites, the massage pavilion, a beach bale or secluded open-air spot with tropical canopy
Aman Beach Club

Surfing and Stand-Up Paddleboarding
Surfing and Stand-Up Paddleboarding
Bali is renowned for its spectacular surf breaks and year-round accessible waves. To celebrate this, Amankila has partnered with East Bali Surf and Sail to offer guests a truly authentic experience for all levels of surfers.

Amankila

Claiming a breathtaking stretch of coastline on the Lombok Strait, Amankila resides on a lush hillside beneath sacred Mount Agung. Architect Ed Tuttle was inspired by Ujung Water Palace and the property’s graceful buildings are connected by frangipani-lined walkways through the treetops. Stilted suites rest high on the hillside with spectacular sea views, a three-tier infinity pool cascades at the property’s heart, and down on the shore, the Beach Club leads to a private black-sand beach.

In Kamasan, just south of Klungkung, a distinctive style of Balinese art is produced. Kamasan-style painting makes use of figures resembling the puppets of wayang kulit, Bali’s shadow puppet theatre. In the village of Budakling at the foot of Mount Agung meanwhile, a number of goldsmiths and silversmiths have produced intricate temple crafts and containers for generations.
Cruising and Diving
Cruising and Diving
Amankila’s two traditional outriggers are available for guests to explore the wonders of the Lombok Strait. Guests can enjoy half day cruises to explore the local coast, or venture a little further afield to experience some of the best snorkelling and diving sites in East Bali, including Manta Point and Crystal Bay.
Cycling
Cycling
Located in the unspoilt Eastern region of Bali, there are many opportunities for exploration by bike. One of the most popular routes, Budakeling to Ujung, begins in the shadows of Mount Agung and takes guests past Tirta Gangga Water Palace, along quite village roads and past emerald green rice terraces.
