Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel distilled Rome’s ancient imperial splendour and suffused it with Midcentury Moda, transforming a stark edifice by the River Tiber into a resplendent palazzo fit for today’s Caesars and Cleopatras, overlooking the Augustus Mausoleum and Ara Pacis.

30 Deluxe Rooms measure 37-square-metres each, expressing Italian craftsmanship and design in every element. A curated colour palette is inspired by Rome, while coloured marble baths and contemporary Italian furnishings complete the look. Rooms look out onto either the Piazza Augusto Imperatore or on the other the more intimate atmosphere of Via della Frezza
14 Premium Rooms measure 49-square-metres each and are decorated in sumptuous materials and rich textures that strike a sharp contrast with the rigourous architecture of the building’s exterior. Interiors follow a Made in Italy approach, featuring Mediterranean marble and four colour palettes inspired by the property’s Roman heritage, and contemporary Italian-designed furniture.

Located on the third floor, the Bulgari Suite is a true oasis of peace in the centre of Rome, with a spectacular view over the Mausoleum of Augustus Sprawling over 300 square metres. The master bedroom of the Bulgari Suite has an elegant walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom with vanity corner, steam shower and a beautiful bathtub made from a single block of arabesque Corchia marble whose shape is inspired by the Baths of Caracalla.
